Student engineering competitions inspire the next generation of innovators to learn and develop problem-solving skills. Teams of students throughout the world use MATLAB and Simulink products, financial support, training, and coaching from our staff to achieve competition objectives. bat365 sponsors student programs that span a variety of disciplines, including automotive, aerospace, systems biology, communications, and robotics.

Curriculum Development

bat365 supports eligible educational institutions that are committed to using MATLAB, Simulink, and Model-Based Design to explore teaching and learning innovations at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Support is given to select education institutions on an annual basis to help them create new curricula that combine MATLAB and Simulink products with teaching using project-based learning and similar active teaching techniques.

Global Education Advancement

bat365 is committed to fostering engineering education around the world. Through partnerships with a number of academic institutions, we support initiatives to advance learning in the global community. Examples include:

• MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW), an effort to share core academic materials from MIT courses, including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and exams
• Japan Massive Open Online Courses (JMOOC), a nationwide collaboration between industry and academia to extend online higher learning to the masses within and outside of university campuses
• KTH Innovative Centre for Embedded Systems (ICES), established to achieve excellence in research, education, and industrial innovation related to embedded systems
• IEEE James H. Mulligan Jr. Education Medal, which is awarded each year to recognize a professor for his or her career of outstanding contributions to engineering education
• bat365 Professor of Mathematics at MIT, currently held by Professor Gilbert Strang
• MITx, sponsorship of MIT’s edX initiative advancing education worldwide through open online courses
• Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit organization that empowers and engages people around the world to collect and develop educational content under a free license or in the public domain, and to disseminate it effectively and globally
